Realistic Boys Costume: Police Officer

       This year my son decided to be a police officer. He was so excited when we found this adorable costume on costume discounters. This website has a lot of costumes for all ages so you're bound to find something. This costume comes with a whistle, badge for the shirt, hat and belt that holds handcuffs, cell phone & baton. My son is 4 so we bought the size small. The length is long and fits within the size chart guide. He can keeps this in the dress up bin for a few years. So whether your child is short like mine or on the taller side this costume will work out! He's 38 inches tall and I had to roll the sleeves and pants a bit but the costume looks great! Its big enough to add a layer under it but not so big its going to swallow him.

The back of the costume is pretty basic but they do have a cute pocket on the bottom portion. You cant really see the baton from the front but you can see if from the back. Sadly this picture its hard to really see it.

 The right side has an adorable patch and you can see the shoulder buttons at the top. This side holds the handcuffs, which come with little keys!

 The left side has the badge, patch and you can get a better look at the baton here. Its plastic so you dont have to worry about your kids using it and hurting the furniture or each other. I also want to mention the hat fits my sons head perfect. Still has room to grow but could go tighter if your child's head is a bit smaller.



My son is counting down the days to halloween and can't wait to put this on. I highly suggest this costume for anyone with little boys. Its going to be a great addition to our dress up bin and I cant wait to see the little stories they come up with when wearing this costume. Olay Fresh Effects

Today Im talking about the olay fresh effects tinted moisturizer bb cream. Im an olay brand lover so I was pretty excited to see this in my voxbox.

The color I was sent was fair to light. The down side to this is they only have two shades. Fair to light and light to medium. I find the this shade does ok but feels like it may be too light for my face. Thats my biggest problem with tinted moisturizers its hard to find your perfect match.

This is a before and after. You can see it knocked out my redness but if you have pimples forget about it. You're going to need a good concealer and probably a good powder if you get oily. After I added concealer and powder I found the coverage to be better. Since its a tinted moisturizer you cant expect awesome coverage. Its very moisturizing but can feel a bit greasy if you add too much.


This product is supposed to be an all in one product.

After reading that olay hit the nail on the head. Its a sheer color meaning dont expect crazy coverage. Comparing this to a foundation isnt right because they're too different products. If all you need is a very light coverage to cover light redness I say go for it. All in all I will be wearing this on my breakout free days. Will be adding concealer to my under eye area and adding powder because I get oily in the summer. This is great for my in a hurry days and Im happy to add olay fresh effects bb cream to my makeup collection!

Sinfulshine Gel tech!

Nail polish and I have a love hate relationship. I love to paint my nails but hate how fast it comes off or chips on me. I have such a hard time finding brands that make it worth my while to even bother painting my nails.

I was pretty excited to see sinful Shine Gel tech nail polish in my sun voxbox. I've wanted to try sinfulshine but like I said I gave up on nail polish! The color I have above is yours truly. Pretty pink color that matches the bottle with two think coats. I skipped the top coat to see how long it would last. To my surprise it took three days before I noticed any chipping! The nail polish itself is a nice consistency. Not runny or thin but not super thick and streaky either. 

This nail polish is only available at walgreens and for a limited time! Im so bummed its not staying because this stuff really works! So you better believe Im heading to get a few bottles asap!

Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics

Ok ladies lets talk hair bands. If you're like me you hate the bands with the metal on them and wont go near a rubber band. I also have very thin hair and most bands cant hold my hair. It just slips right out and its frustrating! I really didnt have any hope for these bands. Though for sure it would fail like the many others I have tried. 

Im happy to say the ouchless elastics by goody's works great! It holds up my messy bun and ponytails like a champ! My hair is so thin its the circumference of a dime. So for this to work really says something. The bands seem to hold their elasticity too which is nice. Overtime bands seem to stretch out on me. 

These elastics come in a pack of 5 for 2.99! The black one is what Im currently wearing :) but they have a pink, purple, light grey and dark grey. Wish they would have included a white band or brown band instead of two grey ones.
